Ginger Dressing

1 C vegetable oil

¼ C onion chopped

½ celery stalk, sliced

2  inches ginger, peeled and sliced

1/2 Tsp. sesame oil

½ Tsp. sugar

½ Tsp. pepper

1/3 C white vinegar

1/3 C soy sauce

Put all ingredients in a blender except the last two and blend for 30 seconds, add vinegar and soy sauce and blend another 30 seconds. 

Mustard Dipping Sauce

½ C fresh lemon juice

1/3 C vegetable oil

3 Tbsp. soy sauce

3 Tbsp. sugar

2 Tbsp. sesame oil

2 Tbsp. white vinegar

2 Tbsp. powdered mustard

Rinse out blender and place mustard sauce ingredients in blender and blend well.


4 C bagged cabbage slaw

1 Cucumber, thinly sliced

2 celery stalks thinly sliced

Mix slaw ingredients together in a bowl.


3 Tbsp. vegetable oil

1 ½ Lb. chicken diced

Zest of ½ lemon

Juice of ½ lemon

1 inch of ginger peeled and minced

Heat vegetable oil in skillet over med high heat.  Add remaining ingredients and brown chicken.  Finish cooking chicken, then add about ½ cup ginger sauce (or however much you like) to chicken, toss and heat through.  Remove from heat.  The sauce will break if heated too long.   

Serve chicken over rice (sometimes just put it over the slaw), and slaw.  Drizzle with mustard sauce and more ginger sauce if you like.

This recipe is easy but there are 2 sauces, slaw and chicken to make.  It is worth it, this recipe is awesome and you will have leftover sauce to use for other things.
