Pea Salad

1/3 Cup mayonnaise

1/3 Cup sour cream

1 Tsp. Salt

1 Tsp. pepper

1 Cup sliced scallions

1 8 Oz. can of sliced water chestnuts drained

8 slices bacon cooked crisp and chopped

½ Cup cashews chopped

4 Cups frozen peas

Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, salt and pepper together in a large bowl and mix well.  Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.   This dish is really good if you can make it the day before and refrigerate it for 24 hours.

To modify this dish, you can add thinly sliced red onions, cubed or grated chesses, parsley or any thing else you might like.  The base is really the mayo, and sour cream, you can add whatever you want from there!
