Pork Ribs Recipe with Sauce and Rub


½ C brown sugar

¼ C paprika (any kind is fine)

1 Tbsp. kosher salt

2 Tbs. pepper

1 Tbsp. chile powder

2 Tsp. ground mustard

1 ½ Tsp. cumin

1 Tsp. cayenne pepper


2 Tbsp. olive oil

4 garlic cloves

2 C ketchup

½ onion chopped

1 Tbsp. Cider vinegar

1 Tsp. Worchester sauce

2 Tbsp. mustard

2 tsp. chili powder

½ Tsp. liquid smoke

2 Tbsp. tomato paste

Combine rub ingredients.  Cover the ribs with rub and let marinate overnight.  Remove ribs from refrigerator, wrap in foil and place on a baking sheet, put in a preheated oven at 350 for two hours.  While ribs are baking, heat olive oil in a saucepan then add onions and garlic.  Sautee for 5 minutes.  Add remaining sauce ingredients, bring to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes.  Remove ribs from oven and foil.  Brush with 1/2 the sauce and reserve the remaining sauce. Next grill ribs for 4-5 minutes per side, brushing with sauce.  If you don’t want to bake them in the oven you can grill them for 2-2 ½ hours.

For this barbeque sauce recipe you need the ketchup, vinegar and sugar (base, acid and sugar).  The rest of the ingredients you can play around with or just buy a bottle of your favorite!
