Sydney's Meatloaf

1 lb. ground beef

1 lb. ground sausage or pork

2 eggs

¾ C milk

1 C Oats

¾ C onion

1 Tsp. sage

1 Tsp. salt

1 Tsp. pepper

¼ C ketchup

¼ C mustard

Sauce

1 C ketchup

½ C brown sugar

1 Tsp. Worchestire sauce


Mix all ingredients together except sauce ingredients.  I put this in an 8x10 pan and shape it into a loaf (this way some of the fat drains to the sides and does not stay in the meatloaf).  Mix sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.  Make a slight indention down the middle to lay the sauce in and spread ½ the sauce toward the edges.  Bake in oven preheated to 350 for 1 hour.  Serve with extra sauce. Serves 6.

You can replace the oats with bread crumbs, or saltine crackers.  The mustard and ketchup is not necessary in the meatloaf, but I like them!  Meatloaf is easy to play around with, you just need to keep the consistency similar.
